Hi Mark ,

If you ain't happy and satisfied with Acrobat DC ,you could easily move back to Acrobat 11.

Please refer the following link to get information on how to downgrade to Acrobat 11 from Acrobat DC .

You could certainly downgrade to just last previous version from the latest one ,i.e Acrobat 11 as of now .

Acrobat DC uninstalled Acrobat XI | How to get Acrobat XI back

Hope this will help .

Guys, this is crap. Where's the world going? Being an owner of my computer I believe it's fair to be able to decide which software I'll be running and delete the ones only taking up my HD space. Apart from the old "rent the tool vs buy the tool" conversation I've got issues with exactly this kind of attitude. Adobe should provide a top-notch software whilst giving me these options then I'd be happy to pay the premium price tag. Until then, I'll be using my old CS6 package and lamenting like I just did.

DC gobbled up my Acrobat xi serial which I cannot retrieve. This is a real nuisance.

For anyone who hates DC ... this is how to revert back to XI

Uninstall DC via Control Panel (make sure all documents and document folders are closed)

Then click on this link:
Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Windows : Adobe Reader 11.0 - Multilingual (MUI) installer

You'll receive a zip file - run the setup.exe

Be patient through this process, it takes a little while, but it's worth it to have XI back up and running.

Oh, and when you get the option to automatically download updates, I selected a manual review rather than automatic.

Unfortunately, these instructions no longer work. The page referenced in the screen grabs for step 2 no longer exists. You are forced to a DC page.

Hello,

after the downgrade, the context menu (right click on a file) is very slow, the reason is that everytime I right click Windows tries to read a non-existent registry key (I discovered it with Procmon):

HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\DC\InstallPath

How can I resolve? Thanks
