how to update Acrobat Pro X 10.1.1 on High Sierra MacOS

just Erased drive and installed 10.13.6 High Sierra on 2011 Mac Mini to have some fun with over my 10.6.8 working install

got through hoops installing adobe's downloaded .dmg CS6 Design and Web Premium

Acrobat Pro X installed as 10.1.1

can't seem to update it and going blind as to why and how

stand alone updater doesn't download

app update can't connect to server

I know cs6's old and not supported - but I basically got what in need installed and updated except Acrobat Pro which I use all the time

any help getting the 10.1.16 update downloaded and a tip to run the installer will be apreciated

note:  haven't tried downloading 10.1.16 updater from an earlier OS and moving the updater to 10.13 to run it - if it will even run from 10.13x system

last nite would not download manually from here:

10.1.16 Planned update, October 13, 2015 — Release Notes for Legacy Acrobat Products

which bounced to here for actual manual AcrobatUpd10116.dmg:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/mac/10.x/10.1.16/misc

LONG STORY SHORT:

this morning the manual download worked and I got the AcrobatUpd10116.dmg

i ran the updater once "Successful" but the app was still 10.1.1 even after reboot

i ran it a second time "Successful" and it updated my Mac Acrobat Pro X from 10.1.1 to 10.1.16 from the one above updater

"stand alone updater doesn't download"

What exactly are you trying to download, from where, and what happens when you try? It's no good working on how to install it if you can't download it, but we don't know why it doesn't download.

You will need a whole series.

NB don't expect Acrobat X to work well in High Sierra. It will not work at all in Mac OS 10.15, Apple have promised it.
