How to upgrade from Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017 to Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017?

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017. I wanted more features, so I downloaded the upgrade for Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017. When I downloaded the upgrade, it downloaded to my desktop. Unfortunately, when I try to open Adobe now, it doesn't have the new features from Pro. Did I download it incorrectly or do I have to merge the two together somehow? Do I have to delete the Standard in order to get Pro? I really have no idea at this point.

you should (properly) uninstall, NOT DELETE, your acrobat standard.

if windows, clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

restart your computer\

install acrobat pro and activate with your pro serial number.

To upgrade from Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017 to Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017, follow these steps:

  1. Purchase a license for Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 from the Adobe website or an authorized reseller.

  2. Download the Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 installer from the Adobe website.

  3. Uninstall Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017 from your computer. To do this, go to the Control Panel on your Windows PC, select "Programs and Features," find "Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017" in the list of installed programs, and click "Uninstall."

  4. Once Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017 is uninstalled, run the Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 installer that you downloaded in step 2. Follow the prompts to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 on your computer.

  5. Once the installation is complete, activate Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 using the serial number provided with your purchase.

  6. Open Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 and verify that it is working correctly. You may also want to transfer any settings or customizations from your previous installation of Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017 to the new installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.

Note that before upgrading, you should check the system requirements for Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 to ensure that your computer meets the minimum requirements. You should also back up any important files or data before uninstalling Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017.

When I download the Pro program on my account, it does not give me the option to type in my serial number.
