Hello,

I want to create section and ToC links within the pdf document created using Export feature of Indesign. I am using pageto: command in link dialogue box of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. But link does not work. I did not find destination names either in exported pdf file as well. Are destination names not created automatically while exporting pdf from Indesign?

Could anyone help?

Thanks

What tells you that this is a valid URL? it does not seem as if it could work but I‘d like to see your documentation. Where do you get this pageto syntax from, please give a reference.

The normal way way to link inside a PDF is the Open A Page View option.

P.S. Please also give a link to any instructions you are trying to follow.

Here are the 3 steps used for pageto: command. I have added screen shots also.

Step 1: I have highlighted an item in ToC in PDF opened using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. Right clicked on the highlighted item. Create Link dialogue box opened.

Step 2:  I hit next button in Create Link dialogue box

Step 3: Entered pageto:12 in Edit URL dialogue box to link to the item in the document.

Pressed ok. A link is created in the ToC but the link goes to Web browser instead of page number 12 in the document.

Thanks

Please explain exactly where you type pageto: in the link dialog of Acrobat Pro DC, and what you expect it to do. This is not usual practice, so we need to understand what you are doing.
