How do I use typwriter function to edit adobe pdf documents?

Correct answer AnandSri

Hi B.Caseyy,

As per the description above, you want to use the Typewriter Function to edit PDF, Is that correct?

It is no longer called the typewriter tool. It is now "add a text comment". Select Tools at the top left, then "Comments",

then the icon on the ribbon that looks like a capital T.

You may also refer to the following link: https://answers.acrobatusers.com/How-I-typewriter-tool-Acrobat-Reader-DC-q294336.aspx

Please confirm the version of Acrobat installed on your computer?

To check the version of Acrobat, launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat

Which operating system do you have- Windows/Mac?

To download Acrobat Reader(Free version): https://acrobat.adobe.com/in/en/acrobat/pdf-reader.html

To download Acrobat Pro DC: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

You indicated that the typewriter function is now "add a text comment" in the DC version. Is that also the case in the non-subscription version?

That makes a comment in a box bubble on the side of the page.  I want to fill out the form not make comments.  WTF is wrong with you Adobe ?? Taking away great features for this BS and then charging more for it too!!!!   Was that not the intended purpose for PDF , to use as online forms to fill out ?  So now I have to print it and write it by hand .
