Question

I am a subscriber to Adobe Acrobat Pro but the download fails part way through

I am in the UK, I am a paying subscriber but I cannot load a complete installation file. It just halts part way through, always at the same downloaded percentage count, then attempts to unzip the partial ZIP file, which obviously won't work.

I have to pay 19.97 GB Pounds a month for this poor service.

ADOBE - get it fixed ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!!

There are other alternatives available.

I have this same problem. Was a solution ever found? I paid for Pro, but the installer fails every time. I have followed every instruction I can find on uninstalling and removing all Adobe components and starting over. Fails every time.

Hi OceanTrvlr,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

As mentioned, the installer fails every time. Could you please share more information on what happens? Do you get any error message? It would be helpful if you could share a short video showing the steps you tried to install the application.

Please try creating a new profile account on your machine and see if you can install Acrobat there without any issues.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

I have gotten this: “ERROR: DW003: Third party payload installer Adobe Acrobat\Setup.exe failed with exit code: 1603”

Also, error 136.

Following your instructions, I just created another user profile on the computer, then downloaded the Acrobat Reader installer (Acrobat_Set-Up_7077.exe) and it failed as well when trying to install the Reader app. All it said was “Installation Failed.”

Not sure what to try next.

Hello @Tom28009858d7ro

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had.

We checked and verified your Adobe ID (email), which you have used to log in to the community. We see that you have an active subscription to Acrobat Pro.

Please restart the machine once, ensure that the operating system is updated to the latest version, check for any mandatory or optional updates, install them, and restart the computer.

Use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove the installed Acrobat app, or related installation files, or any corrupt files, and restart the computer.

Download the Acrobat from the direct link: https://adobe.ly/4gCFBgm

Please Temporarily Disable VPN/Firewall/Antivirus during the installation process. If possible, try changing the network connection type before downloading the setup and installation process. Like connect to a LAN connection, or to a mobile hotspot.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Everything was OK until I got to the point where I had downloaded the install and followed the instructions exactly.

Once I had unzipped the compressed file I tried running the setup.exe but it did nothing, didn't work at all.

When I get some free time to do so I will create a brand new Windows 10 on a spare SSD along with all updates and try one more time.
