I am attempting to reinstall Adobe Acrobat XI. However, when I insert the serial number, it is rejected as the wrong number. Any advice?

I am attempting to reinstall Acrobat Xl.  However, when in insert the serial number, it is rejected as an incorrect number.  Any advice.

Yes.  I purchased the English version of Acrobat originally.  On a related subject, when I reinstall I am unable to get the messages in English.  Any advice on that issue?


You need to use the English installer. The serial number is not just for a specific version, it's also for a specific language, as well as some other parameters.

Did you purchase it from Adobe directly? What is the exact text of the error message?

I purchased the software online from Adobe.  I cannot provide the exact text of the error message because it is in a language foreign to me.  I cannot get back to the initial error message - i.e the one that rejected my serial number.  Thank you.  MD

It's quite difficult to help you without this information... But maybe you're trying to install a version that doesn't match your s/n? Did you purchase the English version of Acrobat, originally?
