I am receiving an error message to correct too many numbers after the decimal when requesting an e-signature. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I have set the decimal places to 2 within the Properties/Format tab. Thank you.

Sorry ot hear that the issue still occurs.

Please confirm if you have updated all the form fields as suggested. We can see that the field shows three values after the decimal.

Ensure that you update the value to 2 for the Limit of characters for all fields that will be using the decimal value.

Sorry for the delay in response.

We have reviewed the PDF form you shared and made some adjustments to resolve the issue. Please follow these steps:

Open the PDF form.
Go to All tools > Prepare a form.
Select the form field for which you have set the decimal places to 2 or on which you get the error.
Double-click on the form field to open the properties window.
Go to the Options tab.
Set the value to 2 for the Limit of characters.

Now try the workflow to add the data and send it for signature. It should work without any errors.

Hi Angela Mansi,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

This can be an issue when the form is created in Acrobat and used for Acrobat Sign. Even though you’ve set 2 decimal places in the Format tab, that setting only controls how the value is displayed in Acrobat, not how it is validated or processed in Acrobat Sign.

Could you please share more information on how you have created the PDF and the settings used for the fields? If you can also share the PDF, it would help us replicate the behaviour and share the correct information.

I originally tried to develop the PDF from an excel file but when doing so the Calculate tab in Properties would not appear. When I developed the PDF in Acrobat, the Calculate tab in Properties would be present. There is a calculation which calculates the mileage in the Mileage box. Also, a calculation to total each row across to the Total Expenses column and down the Total Expenses column to the Total Due Employee box. I have attached screenshots of the setup and the PDF. Thank you for any help in resolving the issue.
