hello
When we compare the price of Adobe Acrobat with competing applications, we find that its price is very high, and yet it does not support the Arabic language like other applications , as it supports dead languages and does not support the Arabic language, which is the fifth most widely spoken language in the world . I think that buying the application was a wrong decision by me .. I will not return until our Arabic language is supported in Adobe application , especially acrobat reader dc .

@SULTAN ALJUAID,

Of course, the same issue occurs with all “right to left” language including Farsi and Hebrew as well as Arabic. And it is a known (within Adobe) very severe product shortcoming.

What I would recommend is that you go to https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac and vociferously make your opinions known there. Acrobat Engineering and Product Management does review what is posted there, not here. If there are requests already there for this type of support, add your comments and votes there.

Dear Customer Service,

I hope this letter will find its way to the correct department. I am so unhappy with my experience with Adobe. In May 2021 I helped my son with his resume. I was searching the internet for tools to help edit a PDF file and I came across Adobe. To my knowledge I never used any Adobe product at any time. If I did it was to see if a PDF file could be edited. I wound up decided not to do that and instead wrote my son’s resume from scratch. I inadvertently signed up for an Adobe product and began getting charged $16.04 per month. It wasn’t until sometime in September that I noticed the charges in my bank account and called Adobe to see if I could cancel and receive a refund since I had not intentionally signed up for your software. I had a difficult time understanding the Adobe customer service representative at that time but it sounded like he was going to suspend my account. He also stated that I would not be receiving a refund. I was charged again in January 2022 $16.04. I cancelled my account at that time and was then charged $24.06 in February 2022.

These are the charges I have incurred for a product I didn’t use:

6/24/21 - $16.04

7/13/21 - $16.04

8/13/21 - $16.04

9/13/21 - $16.04

1/11/22 - $1.04

1/13/22 - $16.04

2/15/22 - $24.06

Total is $121.34

Can I please be refunded the full amount since I didn’t know I would be charged this amount for a product I did not use or need? I can be contacted at [ P.I removed by moderator]

Sincerely,

Eric Sweede

Marhaba Sultan, I understand your frustration with Arabic support, we always demand better Right-to-Left handling from the Acrobat development team. We (in the Arab World) use Acrobat Pro in Pre-press, publishing, and Offset printing content in the Arabic language for decades, we handle Arabic e-forms in Acrobat and many other tasks, so Acrobat does support Arabic in many disciplines. As @try67 mentioned, Arabic OCR is missing, converting Arabic content PDF to MS. Word is weak and somehow hopeless sometimes, directly editing Arabic content in PDF is weak and frustrating, and Fill & Sign feature allows us to type Arabic but displays it badly after the fact. As for your experience, please share with us what are the things you want to do with Acrobat so we may help while your subscription is still valid.

On the price issue, I differ there with you, maybe you don't know all the features in Acrobat which are plenty, advanced and may certainly not all of the features are available in competitor applications.

The only thing Acrobat doesn't support with Arabic is OCR (which I agree it should). Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and can display Arabic text just fine, if the PDF file is set up correctly. It can't perform OCR in any language, though. Only the paid-for Acrobat can, so I'm not sure what issue you have with it, exactly...
