Question

I can no longer edit an image in Adobe Acrobat Pro

Last week I started to edit an image in Acrobat Pro and have opened the file today to finish the editing. It seems to be different now and wont allow me to edit the way I always have. I used to be able to highlight certain shapes, lines etc then delete them from the drawing. It is now trying to force me to use Adobe express and wont allow me to edit as normal.

Is there a way I can stop this happening?

Hello @lisa_8795!

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

++Adding to what our community product expert has already shared, now you have the option to edit images using the Adobe Express option in Acrobat. See this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/4kINO3l

If you have feedback to share, you can use the Adobe Wish form to share it directly with the product team.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Acrobat is not an image editor. To edit an image inside a PDF you must use an external editor. When you save the file in that editor, the image stream in the PDF is updated.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
