I can't get Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 to work, it keeps saying "<PDFMaker Files, then tries to install but it never works.

How can I get these files to install? I cannot even print PDFs as it keeps asking for these files. I'm willing to upgrade this program to if needed. Please advise.

Whether you need to upgrade partly depends on your version of Office. What version is that?

Hi Tawnyas,

As you are facing with Acrobat 8, could you try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Reboot the machine if you haven't already and check if that helps.

2- Check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again. You may also download updates from here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/

3- If issue still persists, try repairing Acrobat using "Repair installation" option under Help menu ( for Windows OS only), reboot the machine after repair and check.

Could you share the complete error message you are getting when trying to print pdfs? Also, the operating system installed on the machine?

Let us know if you need any help.
