Version 9 is from about 6 years ago

I have seen it mentioned that an OLD version of Java must be installed to get an old program (CS6 and earlier) working with your new operating system https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US

-Also read for more information https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2458382

-and https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/install-or-run-applications-new.html

-and https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac-software/open-apps-wont-work-mojave-photoshop-3684425/

If none of the above work, you are simply using an operating system that has not maintained backward compatibility with old programs

I just migrated from an old iMac 27" High Sierra to a new iMac 27" Mojave 10.14.4, using Apple's built-in moving assistant. This also moved all the program files from Adobe CS4 including Acrobat Pro 9.0.

When I try to open a pdf file on the new computer, I get this dialog box.

Clicking Continue has no effect. File does not open, "Acrobat" appears in the top menu bar but no drop-down menu opens if I click it. Only way to quit is by force.

Acrobat 9 can not run on Mojave. It's time to get a new version.
