I have a fatal error message that reads "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server" what does that mean? Also how do I fix it? I cant remove, update or download another Adobe file?

I have a fatal error message that reads "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server"  what does that mean? Also how do I fix it?  I cant remove, update or download another Adobe file?
