I have a MacBook Pro using MacOS Sierra, Adobe Acrobat DC and Word for Mac 2016. When I am saving a word document as PDF (using the option "optimal for electronic distribution...") the pagination links of the index get lost. Interestingly, the cross reference links do not get lost. The same happens when I start the conversion from Adobe Acrobat DC in the tools section. Adobe Online chat support could not offer a solution.
