I have a subscription but Adobe is not allowing me access.

    Your problem is a little more complex than this. But not insurmountable.

     

    When purchase your Creative Cloud/Document Cloud/Technical Communications Suite you can install Adobe Acrobat Pro. Installing Acrobat Pro on your computer system essentially absorbs Adobe Reader and its functions, possibly short of add-ons in your web browser(s). You may have Adobe Reader, but it’s dead. You want to use your Acrobat Pro application from here on out.

     

    If this is your situation, the fastest solution is to set PDF files (and other, ancillary formats like FDF form files, etc.) to open with Acrobat Pro by default. There are different steps for doing that depending on whether you’re on the Mac or Windows platform. You can do that by following the appropriate process for you through this link.
