I have downloaded/purchased Acrobat Pro DC but as I try to use the features it keeps asking me to purchase the product again?

I need to encrypt a document and have purchased Acrobat Pro in order to do so. But as I try to encrypt the document it keeps telling me to purchase Acrobat Pro again. I have restarted my computer and signed in to my adobe ID. Any tips?

IF YOU ARE ON A MAC, look at the app name. This is on the menu bar next to the Apple Symbol. It might say Acrobat Reader, Adobe Reader, Acrobat, Acrobat Pro or something else. What does it say?

IF YOU ARE ON WINDOWS please carefully read the title at the top of the Acrobat window. It might say Acrobat Reader DC, Adobe Reader, Acrobat, Acrobat Pro DC, or something else. What does it say?

JohnW, have you also paid for, and are trying to use, Acrobat Pro DC? (Not Adobe PDF Pack or Adobe ExportPDF)

If so, you need to download, and install, and use Acrobat Pro. This is a different app from Acrobat Reader, so always check the menu bar to see what you're getting.
