I have installed Acrobat Reader DC from Adobe's website, but I do not see it.

I received a message on Adobe's website saying 'Installed' after I installed it. But I see no icon for it, and nothing in Program Files that resembles it other than Acrobat itself (i.e.. Acrobat.exe). I have Acrobat Pro version 2024, though it does not have the letters 'DC' after its name.

The letters "DC" (for Document Cloud) were removed from all versions of Acrobat almost two years ago.

If you need to test your forms on the same PC you can install Foxit Reader, it does a good job.

Thanks so much for de-mystifying the letters 'DC' since I hate not knowing what things stand for as much as I hate the consequences of the resulting confusion. And good riddance to those @#&#&% letters! Unfortunately I've not been able to install Foxit Reader since its several claims to have sent a verification code to my e-mail (the address I listed right on their form!) turned out to be false.

Wow, that's bad news since it could be so convenient to create a PDF with Acrobat Pro and test it with Reader on the same PC. Now, alas, I must use a second PC for testing. Thanks for your explanation though..

Try it with the 32-bits versions of Acrobat and Reader. I think that still works.

Thanks, try67. I'm grateful for this and all your many suggestions. But I plan to go with the latest versions throughout since I suspect that all my readers will move to the latest versions eventually if they have not done so already.

You can no longer have both Acrobat and Reader installed at the same time, since they are the same application, basically.
