I'm not able to see search highlights in a pdf when I'm searching for words

This is in acrobat pro.

When I do a find/search for words in a pdf, the program highlights those words, but the default highlight is extremely difficult to see. How can I change this setting as it's horrible.

As you can see from the image it highlights the word "eyes" in purple and it's so hard to see when trying to quickly find all the searched terms, it's hard to see at a glance. It used to be actually highlighted.

How can I change/fix this?
