Question

I'm trying to make pages larger for bleed, but option is missing

Hey all,

My mother in law used a scrapbook program to make a PDF and I have no way of getting back into that program to add a .125 bleed to the pages. I figured I'd use Acrobat instead and found instructions how to do it:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/Change-PDF-page-size-in-MAC.html

but once I click 'Preflight' I can't find the 'single fixups' option. I'm thinking the update had something to do with it? Any ideas what to do?

Cheers!

What version of Adobe Acrobat does you use?

If you are using Acrobat DC, you might need to click on the button at the top of the Preflight panel and select Acrobat Pro 2015 Profiles. and the blue wrench icon (fixups).

While this will increase the page size, it won't add bleed. If you are comfortable with InDesign, one option would be to place the pages into a new InDesign document and add the bleed there (or add a white border), then export to a new PDF.

If you have the Acrobat plug-in PitStop, there is a tool that can use to create and add bleed to a PDF.
