Question

I need help creating a calculation code for a commision rate

Our employees use the document Closet Worksheet to input their pricing. The left column total calculates everything in the left side. This total also is input into the “National Price” at the bottom. The right side is totaled at the bottom “Accessory total”

The employee then enters the sold for price which then calculates the discount rate at which they sold the job at.

They then manually add their commission rate.

I’m asking if there is a way for their commission rate be calculated by the discount rate - see the screenshot for the discount to the commission.

Thank you so much for your help on this.

Yes, this can be done with a Custom calculation script on the commission field. In Acrobat Pro, open the PDF, go to Prepare Form, right-click the commission field > Properties > Calculate tab > select "Custom calculation script" > Edit. In the script you can read the other fields with this.getField("FieldName").value and set the result with event.value = ... .

If you share the exact rule you want (for example: commission = 10% of the sold price when the discount rate is X), I can help write the precise script.

Wonderful. This is so helpful. Can we not work off the screenshot? In regards to if the discount rate is X then the commission rate will be X?
