Question

I need help with creating a leave application for work using Adobe Acrobat

I am creating an form in Adobe Acrobat and it requires 3 signatures, Employee, Supervisor, and HR Officer. The problem that I am having is that if someone uses the Fill and Sign option and places their preset signature, it locks the pdf so it cant be edited by the other two parties for approval. We can't use the E-Sign tool or Digital tool, because some employees don't have access to Adobe and dont have the ability to create a signature. What do I do? Is there any work around or way to make this work?

Hi @Dacreative_One

They can physically download the PDF and then sign at the designated place using any software and then send you back over email as Adobe Acrobat is not avaialble so can't be done using e-signature which is much easier for sign and collaborate.

Per a previous discussion, it looks like you may be creating your document with the "This document requires signatures" option selected. When doing that, you create an Adoge Sign Form. When you don't do that, it creates a regular signable PDF (I haven't tried this myself, as I use the Sign tool in my own documents).

DO know that receivers don't have to download anything to use Adobe's Sign tool, so that may still be a better option for you

Hope that helps!

This is a document that people would have in a common folder and would fill it out, sign it themselves, then send out to supervisor and officers for their signature and approval
