I need to create a 45 degree editable text field in Adobe Acrobat

There must be a way to do this - surely Adobe doesn't only limit editable text fields to 90, 180, 270 and 0 degrees?

I've tried using the text field properties but the above four angles are my only options...

Not possible with Adobe Acrobat.

Save the xls to Word, make it a word form, then export to PDF and then clean up in Adobe.  Hopefully the fields are honored.

Did you try this before posting? If Acrobat doesn't support 45 degree fields, what makes you think it would work on a converted form?

Also, this is a really old post--the original thread is about 6 years old. I suspect the OP has moved on by now.

Why are you so sure? Can a PDF page be rotated by 45 degrees? Can a link object? Can FreeText annotations?

No. So why should a field be?

Such a useful response, thank you.

I would expect Adobe to allow free rotation fields, and for that matter free rotation pages and objects.

Anyone else have any real solutions?
