I own Adobe Creative Suite 6, my Acrobat Pro X has stopped working as I believe is outdated? I need to combine PDF Files, how can I go about this?

I have been struggling to open PDF files with my Adobe Acrobat Pro. I have been using other readers for the mean time. Now that I urgently need my Reader Pro, I downloaded the new DC version but it does not have all the features Pro has as I apparently need to pay extra for the different services, is there a way to update my Creative Suite to acquire the DC Pro version to have the purchased features and not the Free ones readily available publicly?

    According to this link it says I am eligible, but I can't find a link to update, or does that just state that I need to pay $199 in order to upgrade to Pro?
