I purchased Acrobat X Pro in 2011 and can no longer download updates.

I purchased Acrobat X Pro in 2011 and can no longer download updates.  I get Error 1042 saying that I cannot connect to an Adobe update server...that I need to make sure I'm connected to the internet....which I am connected to.  Suggestions?
