I recently purchased a new iMac, I reinstalled  Adobe Creative Design Premium 5.5 to the iMac. All software in the suite loaded except for Acrobat Pro. When I try to launch Acrobat Pro I get a messages which reads:

Acrobat has detected that there are missing components that require repair. Select the optional components you would like to repair and click Continue. Deselect a component to completely remove it. Click Cancel to cancel the component repair process.

Check Box 1: Adobe PDF Printer - Create Adobe PDF files from any application by printing to Adobe PDF Printer. This will reconfigure the Adobe PDF Printer.

Check Box 2: Adobe PDFViewer Safari Plugin - View, fill in and collaborate on Adobe PDFs within Safari.

When I select continue nothing happens, when I deselect the check boxes and select continue nothing happens. I am unable to launch Acrobat Pro.

This is a brand new iMac running Sierra 10.12.4. Every other software application in the suite is up and running bar Acrobat Pro.

Is there anyone who can help with this, I have spoken to Adobe and they directed me to here.

Thanks

Rob Mc

For example, the Adobe PDF printer doesn't even exist for Mac computers anymore... So no wonder it's not working.

You need to get a new version, one that's compatible with your new OS.

That's a very old Acrobat. Recent ones know the PDF print stopped working after Mac OS 10.7. Not much hope it can fully work. May not work at all.

It previously worked without a problem on a Mac running 10.12.5.

That was lucky. But your luck may have run out.
