I want to sign the document I sent for signature that has been returned to me. The system says it's not in the correct format or is password protected. How can I sign it?

Would you mind elaborating a bit more about the issue? What happens when you try to sign the PDF? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.
