@Exuberant_Charm5e51 I would assume this never happened before? If not, was this after a recent update? If not, I would restart your computer. Give it a good shut-down. Wait a few seconds and restart.

If this is a recent update, some people are experiencing some Acrobat issues. I would then uninstall Acrobat. Run Adobe Cleaner Tool to cleaning up corrupt files, https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-creative-cloud-cleaner-tool.html. Once that is done, delete the previous download that had Acrobat and empty your trash can or recycle bin.

Then go back to Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app, and download a ‘fresh’ and ‘new’ Acrobat for your computer.. I am on a MacBook Pro M5 Max and haven’t experienced this issue.

In the Application folder, click on the Acrobat icon. You can also drag the icon to your dock too for easier access. Make sure you are selecting the Acrobat icon and not the folder:

    Hi Exuberant_Charm5e51,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with Acrobat.

Could you please provide more information about what occurs? Additionally, please include the details of your Acrobat and OS versions.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

On MacOS 27 Acrobat hangs on start when the option ‘Always show Scroll bars’ is selected. Only solution is to delete the user preferences, then restart Acrobat (and do not check Always show scroll bars again of course…)
