Import data to PDF form from Word

2. I'm seeking a workaround to make this work for me/my team. A new program/process overhaul is not an option.
We use a database to input/store data, & it has a (somehwat primitive) cover letter creator, whereby it auto loads customer name, project name, date, etc. into a stock MS Word doc (fill-in-the-blank style). I would like to "drag & drop" or "import data" into a less bland PDF template (incl. color background/photos), something very seamless for everyday use, so that it doesn't bog down our daily activity. Ideally, the CLC could be preloaded with the better template, so it would export automatically, and we'd be done. The reason this is not an option rn is that the photos specifically will clog up the database too fast.
tl;dr Can I set up, in Adobe, a PDF that will pull in specific data from the MS Word doc our CLC spits out?
