Inability to print scanned PDF's

I have a Mac.  I am not able to print scanned PDF's that I have saved.  I get the message on my HP printer "the file is corrupt" or it just spends ages trying to connect to the printer.  I can print the documents from other sources ie. my phone or a computer without an Adobe account. 

I had my IT look into it, and they said the problem was with Adobe.
