Question

Inconsistent commenting behavior in shared cloud reviews

Recently we tried using a shared cloud review of a PDF. We were excited to use this approach for reviews, but we ran into some problems in commenting. Sometimes, comments get forced to the top of a page, and you can't tell where the user intended to place the comment. At other times, commenting is very slow, both for the person placing the comment and the owner of the document.

We're reluctant to use this approach unless we can get consistent behavior. Has anyone else had this issue? Have you found a solution to it?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well.

To better understand the issue you're experiencing, could you please confirm if this problem has just started occurring recently?

Additionally, could you provide me with an overview of your workflow and the steps you're taking for shared review commenting? If possible, a short video recording of your process would be very helpful.

Can you also let me know the version of Acrobat DC you are using? You can check your version by going to Help > About Acrobat. Please ensure you have the latest version 24.02.20687 installed. You can check for updates under Help > Check for updates, and then restart your computer if necessary.

For Windows users, please try repairing the installation from the Help menu. Let me know if this resolves the issue.

Thanks for your reply!

1. Up to now, we've used email reviews or network-based reviews, so I don't know if this is a recent problem.

2. I'm using the  Share button in the upper right corner and inviting reviewers for commenting.

3. The version is 2024.002.20687.

I don't believe the problem is with my installation because we have multiple Acrobat users.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that the issue still persists, Would you mind collecting the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

Regards
Amal
