INcredibly laggy scroling experience

Adobe Acrobat 64 bit 26.001.21691 is incredibly laggy when scrolling up and down the document.
This is on an R7-7700X and 4080S, It seems to have started about a week ago, scrolling was buttery smooth until then.
No updates that I know of except for Acrobat, checked to be on the latest version.
Everything else I try to open the PDF files with (browser, acrobat web version, NitroPDF and Foxit Reader) seems to have no problems scrolling the documents.

Disabling New Acrobat Reader also restores performance but I like the UI of the new one more if possible.
I’ve tried a restart, repair, reinstallation, uninstall + cleaner for a clean install and the same happens.
Other things that have been tried to no success: Unchecking all combinations of checkboxes under Page Display > Rendering, switching hardware acceleration off and back on, switching rendering from DX9 to software.

Anyone have any idea what else can be done here to restore scrolling capabilities?
This does not happen in reading mode (ctrl + H) even in the new one.
