Install 2020 on different computer

Since 2020 is apparently no longer available to the public. Is Adobe saying I'm SOL after only 2+ years and forcing me to purchase the newest version?

Adobe has discontinued selling perpetual versions of Acrobat after Acrobat 2020. However, if you would like a non-subscription version of Acrobat, Acrobat Pro 2024 desktop software provides three years of paid access to Acrobat desktop and is available as a one-time, upfront purchase ($324 US).

I'm not sure how long the 2020 activation servers will continue to work.

No, you can still use it, if you have a valid copy. The fact they don't sell it any longer doesn't mean it won't work (in this case; older versions might not).
