Install Acrobat from CD on more than two pcs?

Hi,

I've been sold an original sealed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC cd with serial number etc. - there are two stickers - one has [removed] ' DVS/A,APRO, 12.0,WIN,GEN,MUL' and the other the 6 part serial number with 'Acrobat Pro Ress' and[removed] - and I have been told with certainty that I can activate this on five PCs. Is this possible? My understanding is that only two active installs are enabled per serial number - say PC and  laptop.

Can anyone confirm or deny this please?

Please don't post serial numbers.  This is not Adobe Support.  This is a public forum.

Hi, thanks for that. I asked a support rep. in the chat area and they said that the serial number I had was not recognised by Adobe - so it must be some made up rubbish - so I'm going to get a refund if I can. For info the CD supplied is genuine and it came in a sealed CD wallet - its just the serial codes were printed on labels but they don't match what Adobe usually use - i.e. a very slim type of label where you have two or three duplicate stickers, so something to look out for in future.

It depends on the license type. The standard retail license is 2 PCs but only one user (not for sharing). There may be 5 user volume licenses. If you purchased a volume license new as a new company this may be good. If you purchased it used or did not order a volume license it will be invalid. Some suppliers split volume licenses: this is not permitted and when it is discovered Adobe block them. Volume licenses may also need special install actions according to type. Since different license types may share the same media you need to contact Adobe by chat or phone to check the serial and the rights it gives.

Acrobat can only be installed (or more correctly, activated) on two computers at the same time.

Sealed or not, it sounds like you were sold a pirated copy... From who did you purchase it? If you can get a refund, do so immediately.

Also, if you tried to install it on your computer make sure you run a good Anti-Virus application, as it might have gotten infected with a virus/malware/ransomware in the process...

I didn't post serial numbers - please read the post properly before editing wrongly - they are just numbers on the sticker that identify the product:

i.e. 91098854 / 91098797

They don't even look like serial numbers...
