Installation Error - Acrobat DC Pro - New Purchase - Fix or Standalone Installer request

Hi

I have just purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard DC Commercial Edition  and the install fails via Creative cloud as per the error below;

Exit Code: 7

Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR: DW003, DW071 ...

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 0 fatal error(s), 2 error(s)

----------- Payload: Adobe Acrobat DC 17.9.20044.0 Adobe Acrobat\Setup.exe_17.009.20044 -----------

ERROR: DW071:

ERROR: DW003: Third party payload installer Adobe Acrobat\Setup.exe failed with exit code: 1603

So far I have removed all adobe products , also removed other installs not listed on uninstaller via Microsoft removal tool , used the Adobe Acro cleaner tool ,cleared the temp folder cleared any remaining adobe files and then tried again  running as administrator, as a last resort I grabbed two offline installers but these don't seem to recognize my serial number or just dont work being a CC product to proceed any further. Can someone confirm an easy fix that I am missing or advise of a location of an offline installer that will work.

Version purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard DC Commercial Edition PC Download | Officeworks

Download Link is the Creative Cloud Install but this fails about 70% through each time.

Download Adobe Acrobat DC (Continuous) for Enterprise or VIP licenses

Standalone Installer - Serial not recognized

Download Location 2 -  Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

This accepts the serial number but the second I click next I get "Setup Interrupted" click finish to exit wizard.

I did try the support chat but have been in the q for the last 90 minutes and only moved from 13th to 8th ..no wait 7th ... and have to finish work now.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

David

Correct answer akoli

I managed to get support chat again and I didn't have to wait at all 2nd time. In the end all they needed to do was force close all 5 running adobe processes running in task manager (Still running even though the program failed to install which I honestly didn't think to do this as the install having failed shouldn't have any running processes), they then ran the  standalone installer in Link 2 above not the Creative Cloud installer and it worked that time  .

So thanks for your help hopefully this helps someone else in the future. thanks
