Installation problem of Adobe Acrobat Standard DC Version 12

Hi all,

I have a problem when I tried to nstall Adobe Acrobat Standard DC.

Due to bigger problem with my Computer I had to reinstall completely my System based on Windows 10 Version 1909. My System is a DELL XPS8920 System.

I bought in 2017 a Licence of "Adobe Acrobat Standard DC". I have a valid Licence Key and the Software with the Key is also registered with my Adobe Account.

Yesterday when I reinstalled my System I downloaded the installation image for Acrobat Pro/Standard DC. I assume that the differenciation of Pro and Standard is done with the Licence key because the installation version is the same for both. Correct.

When I install the Acrobat Version the SW is tellin me to be a Pro Version and my Key seems to be not valid.

Now it is completely unclear for me where to get the correct installation version because the rror message in the SW is refering to exact the same URL where I downloaded the Image.

It is also unclear for my why my Licence Key is not working because I can see also the registered valid License Key in my Adobe Account.

Please can you help me? Do you have any ideas to solve the problem to get Acrobat running?

Ok, this is really confusing (from Adobe). There never was a version 12. But Adobe put version 12 in many people's registrations. What they were registering was the 2015 perpetual product. Yes it is the same prombem I am having and I am VERY upset. Adobe should change its name to  "Bait and Switch."  I have been searching for the Adobe Acrobat version 12 for 20 minutes now and the website is purposefully designed to obfuscate the software I spent hundreds of dollars on.

 

They try and make you download "Pro" (Which I got suckered into) because the used to hide in under "accounts" and register product but now they have changed that.  I still can not find it!

 

Who would ever trust this company with another purchase?

1. I posted a link, with downloads for Standard and Pro, doesn’t it work?

2. In some setups, there is only one installer for Pro and Standard, which uses the license to decide what you get.

By the way, another way to recognise the right software:

"classic" - perpectual license

"continuous" - subscription license only

Hmmm, OK, maybe I'm to stupid but may I ask the question where to find the download version in the download and support section of Adobe Page?

Hi all,

 

so, now, based on and older backup image I had from my machine ich checked the exact version I had.

The system is telling me the following version:

Adobe Acrobat Standard DC
2015 Version (Classic) Version 2015.006.30505

 

Thank you for the link to the 2015 Download. I will try and I'm quite sure it will work 🙂

I think the product you licensed is Acrobat Standard 2017 (perpetual license)? 

If so, you cannot use Acrobat Standard DC (subscription license).

Please use your original download.

Thanks for your fast answer.

 

My problem is that the original SW was deliverey by "DELL Digital Delivery"-Tool but the DELL Digital Delivery Tool is not working and download is not possible. I was in contact with DELL support and hotline and DELL is refering to Adobe Download Area downloading ....

 

"I think the product you licensed is Acrobat Standard 2017 (perpetual license)? " .... Good question. If I check my registration in Adobe from 2017 the SW is called "Acrobat Standard DC Version 12" ....
