I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro online some time ago, and the computer on which I initially installed it died.  I tried to open the App on my new desktop after migrating it but was not successful.  Can you please help me resolve this so that I don't have to pay twice (I remember paying upwards of $100 the first time.

you need to clean up whatever you've already done.  ie, if you can uninstall acrobat do so.

if you have a perpetual license and windows, clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs, then restart your computer and properly install using the installation files.

if you have a subscription, the process is different.

Single user licensee downloadable installation files available:

Updates

  • Download and installation help for Adobe links

  • Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!

Ok - I’m not sure either of these situations applies to me.

I don’t have Windows - I’ve always been a Mac User. I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro (student version, I think) and installed it on my now non-working iMac. I don’t know if I have a perpetual license. I don’t think I have a subscription as I don’t pay per month.

I want to be able to combine PDF files, but I don’t want to have to pay upwards of $100 a 2nd time in order to do so.

Thanks,

Andrew

with a student license you'll need to download the installation files that your school supplied and use your serial number.
