Interactive PDF hyperlinks viewed in a browser are giving me an unwanted drop down...

Hello and thank you!

I made an interactive brochure in indesign. My QC team is asking me to remove the unintended drop down function attached to my hyperlinks when viewed in a browser (safari/chrome). I have tried making the hyperlinks in indesign as well as in acrobat as a test. It happens to both PDFs and seems to be random, not all links. I have quite a bit of experience but am completely unsure of what to try next. I need those pesky drop downs to go away! Thank you in advance.

I am using the latest CC indesign and acrobat.

Complain to the makers of the respective browsers. Most browsers come with their own PDF viewer, so unless you see the same behavior when you open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader, then this is due to the PDF renderer used in the browser.

I do not see this behavior in a browser using the Adobe Acrobat extension.
