Question

Interface changed for editing, before I'd hit Comments and all tools appeared. Now, they don't.

Hi,

How do I get the tools back in the Toolbar across the top? After a break, I reopened a doc to see they'd disappeared.

 

After freaking out a bit, I see there's a tool strip on the side. Why did it suddenly appear there?

And now, instead of a single click, I gotta do at least two. Ugh. Clicks add up.

 

How do I get the tools back in the Toolbar across the top?

 

I have a deadline and would very much appreciate some help.

    Several things: Never set your software to auto-update. Sometimes, it's fine, but sometimes, a new update on ANY software will have glitches, and if you're in the middle of a project, you do not want surprises. 

     

    To go back to the previous interface, try the suggestions in this thread:

    Revert to classic interface from new Acrobat GUI

     

    Be aware that some of the newest releases do not provide this option to go back, so if you do not see these options, that's why.

    Now, how do I disable auto update?
