Internal links in Acrobat PDF Editor not working once saved

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started using Adobe Acrobat PDF Editor and I’m running into an issue with creating internal links in my document. The links work perfectly while I’m still in the editor, but once I save and reopen the file, they stop working properly.

I’ve tried saving in different formats, but the problem remains. There’s no security on the document, and the links themselves are still visible in the saved file — they just don’t take me to the right part of the page anymore.

In short: the links behave as expected inside the editor, but fail once the PDF is saved and opened.

Has anyone else run into this, or know what might be causing it?

Where are you opening it? In what application?

I'm just double clicking the file so whatever Apple chooses to open it. I also tried doing it on my iPhone  and the same thing happened

Unfortunately, not all PDF viewers are good, and Apple Preview is one of the worst.
If it works well in Adobe Reader but not in Preview, then that's the culprit. There isn't much you can do about it, though.
