Question

invisible text

I've heavily edited a large PDF document in Adobe Acrobat DC, and now I can't see a lot of the text in the document. If I highlight it and copy / paste  - or if I change the font - the text becomes visible. Otherwise a lot of the text boxes look empty.

If I had to go back and cut/paste in all the empty boxes, that would take hours! Is there any way to fix this? I also tried the "preflight" - analyze and fix - option.  But then there ended up still being a bunch of missing letters and weird formatting.

Help please!

Editing the static contents of a PDF file is really a bad idea, and should only be done as a last resort, and even then only on a small scale. You really should be editing the original file and then creating a new PDF from it, or exporting the PDF to an editable format (like Word, InDesign, etc.) and then edit that.
