Ipad pro and fillable forms

I filled out a fillable pdf on my laptop and emailed it to my ipad. I can't open it with any of my PDF apps. not even Adobe Acrobat. I would like to be able to open the file and sign the form with my pencil on the ipad pro.

The file name shows up but all that appears is a text message with adobe web addresses.

Thanks

There are 2 programs distributed by Adobe that can create forms. They are LiveCycle which creates forms in the XFA format (a variation of XML) and Acrobat. Mobile devices can only process PDFs created using Acrobat.
