IRS Form 941 for 2020

In the Past, I have been able to Import data fields from an XML file to fill in IRS Form 941.  However with the new form for 2020, there is no Import Data function available in this Form.  The only difference that is evident is that the new form was created in LiveCycle Designer.  Is there a way to enable the Import Data function in this form?

In Adobe Acrobat you can import and export the form data.

The  processing of government forms is contr

Contact IRS directly.

Hi Bevi,

Thank you for your reply.  I understand that IRS created this pdf file, but what I'm wanting to know is if there is a way to enable the import data function with this type of file.  I am not familiar with this new LiveCycle Designer in Acrobat so I'm trying to figure out if the IRS files created with it can have an import capability or not and if so can it be turned on?  Contacting someone at IRS to get information regarding the form is not an easy thing to do, so I'm trying at both ends.

Best Regards,

Ramon

Again, this question can't be answered by the Acrobat forum.

How the form can be filled in, whether manually or through a batch process, is set by the creator of the form. In this case, Form 941 is the quarterly Employers payroll tax form (due on April 30).

Although your question is outside the scope of this forum, here are several webpage on IRS.gov that give details on how to submit the form:

At https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i941#idm140566692136640, IRS makes no mention of import capabilities on their PDF forms.  Their instructions are for manually filling in paper and PDF forms.

Usually those who want to auto-populate government tax forms use a 3rd party service, such as a payroll service or e-File service provider. Different e-File services have different capabilities, and one might give you the capability of importing a data file into their version of form 941. IRS lists approved software programs and e-filer services at https://www.irs.gov/businesses/e-file-employment-tax-forms  Do not use an unapproved program or service. Personally, my firm uses https://yearli.com/ to file our business tax returns.
