IRS forms filled out last year and filed and now BLANK? Why? How to fix?

I need to refer to various tax form PDFs taken from the IRS site, filled out and saved.  Now all fields are blank!  Is the date still there?  I do this every year and all files for 2014 and 2015 are now blank, but 2013 files are complete.

How can I avoid this in the future? Using Chrome which says they update Acrobat with newest version at login.

Don't use Chrome to view PDF files. Chrome doesn't render forms fields or XFA forms.

Open those old filled out and saved IRS PDF files with at least Adobe Reader (if not Adobe Acrobat) directly, not with either Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge!!
