Is 2024 and emojis are still not working properly on pdf? what?

Question

I am having trouble to export emoji fonts ( Noto color emoji and Segoe UI Emoji) when exporting to pdf, either from Illustrator or InDesign. How can it be solved? How is it possible that there is no correct support for these type of fonts since emojis have been around for a while know?

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

We made some improvements to the Font workflow in the upcoming releases, which should fix the issue.

Would you mind updating the app to the latest version (2024.005.20320) and let us know if the experience improved?
