Is it possible to auto-populate fields in a PDF with data from an excel worksheet by typing an ID number in the PDF?

Is it is possible to Auto populate fields in a PDF using an ID code which pulls data from an Excel data set? For example, I would input the ID code 111 into the PDF, hit enter, and fields would be populated in the PDF with data taken from an excel data set.

Yes, it's possible, but the data will have to be saved as a plain-text file and then either attached to the PDF (the better approach) or be placed a known and fixed location on the computer.
