Question

Is it possible to change the color of text fields in a form?

I created a Workbook in Indesign. It has form elements. Exported it as an interactive PDF.

Now, I need the text fields to be a specific color (yellow), or at least transparent (in that case, I'll add the color "underneath" in Indesign).

Is this possible? I read around and it seems that purpleish hue that Acrobat puts by default is impossible to change in the PDF so that all users will see it customized when opening the PDF.

You can select any fill color you want, but if the user has the Fields Highlighting option selected it will overwrite your selection. What you can do, though, is disable this option using a script in your file. But this will affect all other files the user opens, not just yours, so I would strongly recommend you don't do it, or at least ask for the user's permission before doing so.

Definitely, I would not want that.
So it seems that forms can't be created in a way that they match a corporate branding... since they will always have a color (by default) that may not match he branding.

Not always. It depends on the user settings.

You can add a notification advising the user to disable it if it's enabled.
