Question

Is it possible to duplicate a fillable form and edit the text in the new PDF without losing formatting?

Hello,
I created an MS Word doc, saved it to Adobe Acrobat Pro 17, then set it up as a fillable PDF. I need to create a second document with identical fields but different text (one version is for internship supervisors, another is for students).

My problem is that when I go into Edit mode and begin to change the instructions, the formatting goes awry, as in the screenshots below. Am I simply going to need to start from MS Word again? (Ugh!)

Thanks in advance for any input,

Crystal

  • change the text in Word
  • create a new PDF file
  • open the old PDF form in Acrobat
  • replace the pages with the pages of the new PDF file
  • save the file with a new name
