Is it possible to move a legacy version of Acrobat to a new machine?

My last laptop came with a full copy of Acrobat. That machine is now defunct, and the version of Acrobat is now probably legacy. I have bought a new laptop which does not have Acrobat. Is it possible to move the license to the new machine?

You install the same way you did the 1st time... put your disc in the drive and enter your serial number when asked, or download the installer and enter your serial number when asked

kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2478335 to download program installers

--ignore the original question, you need to go to kglad's links in reply #1

-you will need to enter your original serial number during install for non-Cloud programs

When you have a non-functioning computer and can't deactivate a serial number

BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT

Adobe ID and registration support (non-CC) http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-c1.html

You don't say your version, so ignore these if they don't apply to you

CS3 and Acrobat 8 activation server is retired see reply #1 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2372929

-you MUST use the special serial number AND the special installer you download, not your originals

-above includes a link to get the special version AND links to help with activation problems

-more information on activation problems with the new version https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2385900

CS2 + Acrobat 7 + Audition 3 (AND EARLIER) Activation Server is gone, so read below

You MUST use the special version and serial number on the page, not your original disc or serial number

Thanks for your help.

The programme was pre-installed on my old VAIO laptop and it was Acrobat 8.

Al I had to do was activate it at the time.

I'll follow your advice and see how I get on.
