Do you mean to install a different version of Acrobat? 32 or 64 bits makes no difference to the files.

After a complete backup, check the version of your operating system because you will not be allowed to install a 64bit version when using a 32bit operating system.

You should check if you can uninstall the 32bit version and install instead the 64bit.
