Question

Is there a version of Acrobat Reader available that will work with Windows 7 (64-bit)?If yes, where would I find it?

I have an old pc using Windows 7 (64-bit). The hardware wont work with Windows 11 so I cannot upgrade that. Is there a version of Actobat Reader available that will work with my OS? I found a version for Win 7 (32-bit) and I started to install that, but after downloading and starting the Install part, suddenly it stopped and gave me a “Failed” message.

Could it be that the 32-bit version should work with Win 7 (64-bit) but there is some software missing from my pc that I need to install first?

Whatever the problem is, I would like to use Acrobat Reader if possible.

Thankyou for any help

Frankly, being that far back on your OS, I don’t think you’re going to find a version of Adobe Reader that will be compatible with Windows 7 anymore.

I would consider searching for a browser that gives you the option to open PDFs like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. As a general rule, you may find web browsers that are further backward-compatible than Adobe Reader. That may be your best shot.

    Good luck,
